Trusted since 1979

For more than 45 years, Crowley has been a trusted part of the Ballina community, known for delivering high-quality care with compassion and integrity.

Crowley Care is a ministry of the Ballina Parish of the Catholic Church and is named after Jim Crowley, who donated the land in 1976 for aged accommodation.

Our reputation is built on consistency, professionalism and a deep commitment to the people and families we support.

Personalised, Respectful Support

We work closely with residents and families to understand each person’s story, preferences, beliefs and goals.

This partnership approach allows us to:

  • Support independence and choice
  • Deliver safe, responsive and reliable care
  • Create experiences that reflect what matters most to each individual

Discover the Crowley Difference

Meet our Board

The Parish Aged Care Board brings together experienced community leaders with diverse professional backgrounds who share a strong commitment to the wellbeing of older people in our community. Their insight, governance experience and broad expertise help guide Crowley’s strategic direction and ensure we continue to deliver high-quality, compassionate aged care services.

Working together, the Board strives to maintain Crowley’s reputation as a trusted leader in aged care while responding to the evolving needs and expectations of the Ballina community. The Board is actively supported by our Parish Priests, Fr Peter Padsungay and Fr Erick Quinteros, along with the St Francis Xavier Parish Finance Council, reflecting Crowley’s strong connection to the parish and its mission of care and service.

Volunteer With Us

Do something good.

Volunteers play a special role in the life of Crowley. They bring friendship, companionship and a valuable connection to the wider community for our residents, clients and their families. Their support also strengthens the care and services our staff provide every day.

Volunteering at Crowley can be a truly rewarding experience. It offers the opportunity to meet wonderful people, learn new skills, share your talents and make a genuine difference in someone’s life. For many, it becomes a meaningful and life-changing way to give back to the community.

Our volunteer program follows the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement in Not-For-Profit Organisations, and wherever possible we strive to exceed them, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for everyone involved.

There are many ways you can contribute. All we ask is your time, your commitment to care, and your unique talents.

If you are interested in becoming a Crowley volunteer, we would love to hear from you. To register your interest please call our team on 1300 139 099.

Crowley Care Auxiliary

Our wonderful Crowley Care Auxiliary members are a generous, caring group of volunteers who organise fundraising raffles and events, while also enjoying fun social gatherings together. Their incredible efforts make a real difference, supporting and enriching the lives of our residents in meaningful ways.

If you love meeting new people, staying connected to your community, and making a positive impact, we warmly invite you to join the Crowley Care Auxiliary. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at Crowley’s Education Centre and are followed by a delicious afternoon tea and friendly conversation.

You can also support the Auxiliary by stopping by one of their stalls or Crowley Care Reception to grab a raffle ticket - or three - and be in the running for fantastic prize hampers.

For details on upcoming events and activities organised by the Auxiliary, visit our What’s On page. <LINK>
