A Comfortable Short Stay

Respite stays are typically available for a minimum of four weeks. During your stay you will enjoy:

Accessing Respite Care

To access residential respite, you will need an assessment through My Aged Care, which determines your eligibility and level of care support.

Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au to arrange an assessment.

Respite fees are the same for everyone and are not based on income or assets. During your stay you will generally pay a basic daily fee (set by the Australian Government at 85% of the single basic Age Pension) along with a booking fee. There are no accommodation costs or means-tested contributions. All fees will be outlined in your respite service agreement before your stay begins.
